Each year, Members of Congress typically return to their home state/districts during the month of August. This provides a great opportunity for constituent advocates (residents of each state) across the country to meet with their congressional offices while their Members are back home.
We are pleased to host a training on Monday, July 20, 4:00-5:00 PM ET for anyone interested in holding these meetings to advocate for the National Plan for Epilepsy Act. This training is for the entire epilepsy community and will feature speakers from the Epilepsy Foundation and Epilepsies Action Network (EAN). During the training, we’ll teach you how to schedule a meeting with the in-district/state office, how to prepare for the meeting, and tips for how to effectively share your story and make the ask during the meeting.
This type of advocacy is a great opportunity to get involved and get YOUR Senators and Representatives signed on to the National Plan. By Labor Day, we would love to have official support from ALL 50 states!
